Praying the News.com was started in June 2008 as a resource for Christians around the world to "pray the news" three times a week together.  We pray that the following goals are met in part by this website:

1. Encouragement: It is often easy to get overwhelmed or discouraged by the global news. By lifting our concerns to the Father who is ultimately in control, we pray that this will become an encouragement.
 2. Empowerment: Prayer changes things.  We are actively involved in Christ's work as we pray for God's people.
3. Education: We pray that this website will bring about awareness and education of the many events that escape mainstream Western news. The Global Church must be about joining in the work that God is doing so how can we join if we aren't aware?
